Operator tools vs provincial schemes — and why site-level exclusion is not enough.

    Operator exclusion

    Every casino we score should offer a time-out and a longer self-exclusion. If it is email us and we might, the RG category falls. Site-level exclusion only covers that scoring URL. Same logo on another URL is a different company.

    Provincial programmes

    Ontario players should use the operator tool and BetGuard (betguard.ca), iGO’s province-wide opt-out launched May 2026. A Curaçao site cannot enrol you in BetGuard or PlayPause. That is a structural gap, not a moral lecture.

    Alberta licensed sites use GameSense tools. British Columbia legal play is PlayNow with GameSense. Great Britain uses GAMSTOP on UKGC operators. TrustFacts cannot enrol you.

    Time-out is not exclusion

    A pause of hours or weeks is a time-out. Self-exclusion is months to years and should be hard to reverse. Casinos that blur the two get a transparency penalty on the Gauge.
