Set before the first deposit
A limit created after a loss is already late. Good cashiers let you cap daily / weekly / monthly in the account panel without a live-chat begging session. Write the number before you open the cashier.

Cooling-off on increases
If a site lets you raise a limit instantly, we mark RG down. A 24-hour delay is the minimum adult control we score. That is how the Gauge reads the tool — not a claim that every regulator requires the same hour count.

A limit is not a licence
Ontario still needs iGO. Alberta still needs AGLC. A rest-of-Canada cashier that offers a tidy limit is still not legal in those markets. Confirm the live register before you deposit.
