Canada is not one casino market
Canada has no national online-casino licence. Ontario is iGaming Ontario, 19+. Alberta is AGLC, 18+ — private market from 13 July 2026. British Columbia is PlayNow, 19+. Quebec is Espacejeux, 18+. Rest of Canada is a geography desk, not a fifth provincial licence. Same logo on two URLs is two files.
Ontario
19+. The commercial market is iGaming Ontario under the AGCO. If the product is not on the iGO register, it is not the Ontario file — even if the trademark matches a site you used in another province. Desk: Ontario.
Alberta
18+. AGLC is a separate licensed private market from 13 July 2026. PlayAlberta remains the Crown cashier. We only keep Alberta on a row when the brand is on that review list. Grey wrappers that still geo-block Alberta do not get the Alberta desk. Desk: Alberta.
British Columbia and Quebec
British Columbia legal play is PlayNow (BCLC), 19+. Quebec legal play is Espacejeux (Loto-Québec), 18+. These are Crown monopolies, not private-operator lists. An Ontario iGO or Alberta AGLC URL is not a licence in those provinces.
Rest of Canada
Most other provinces still route legal play through crowns, or sit outside a private iGaming market. ROC on this site is a geography desk. Gauge 60+ gets a hop. That hop is not legal in Ontario or Alberta, and it is not an invitation to VPN around a geo-block.
We keep the Crown desks separate so a PlayNow score is not a PlayAlberta score. Full split: Canada desk.
